Review: Black Water by Joyce Carol Oates

Very short book: borrowed, well known topic, mix of US and sexual politics, and JCO's perceptive prose adds up to a readable story. The ebb and  flow of time creates interest and tension, maybe some doubt about the end, but in the end, it ends as one knows it must - badly.
