Review; Daughter of the Desert, Georgina Howell

This is the biography of a remarkable woman ... adventurer, mountaineer, politician, poet ... the list goes on ... her achievements would be considerable in this day and age. They are all the more outstanding given she was born on 1868! #

Howell portrays Gertrude with authority and understanding, and uses her subject's own writing to great effect.  Well worth reading.
